1720 IT ALL STARTED WITH A CHERRY
Matthieu Teisseire, a liquoriste and vinegar maker by trade, settles in the French Alps where he sets up a distillery. He soon introduces his delicious cherry liqueur to the local neighbourhood.
1789 THE FAMILY BUSINESS
Camille Teisseire, Matthieu’s grandson, takes over the family business. In recognition for his work as a city councilor during the French Revolution, and then as Deputy of Isere, a district of Grenoble is named ‘Teisseire’.
1907 FAME AND FORTUNE
François Reynaud, a like-minded, passionate liqueur and spirits merchant, buys the now famous company, bringing new ideas for fabulous flavors.
1927 BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS
After François’ death, his two sons start to innovate with non-alcoholic fruit sirops. They invent lots of new exciting flavors, but take pride in staying true to the family tradition - to concentrate the rich flavor into every drop
1957 TEISSEIRE AND CYCLING
François’ grandson (also called François) introduces the aluminium tube. This pack proves the perfect design for cyclists to drink from during races, establishing Teisseire’s long tradition with cycling
1988 A GRAND UNVEILING
Teisseire’s passion for innovation continues. There are yet more flavors and the unveiling of a unique new bottle and label design. It’s introduced into hotels and restaurants, bringing a burst of fruit flavor to a whole new audience.
2010 BURSTING WITH FLAVORS
Britvic acquires Teisseire, creating one of the world’s biggest squash and sirop manufacturers. They now have more sirops, more new product innovations and even more flavors.
2014 AMAZING BUT TRUE
We all know the French know a bit about good taste. And now, when asked to name a sirop, almost everyone in France names Teisseire
