GOLD MEDAL PARIS
Property of Charles de Montesquieu in the eighteenth century, Château Saint Ahon is located in the region of Haut Médoc, south of the Médoc peninsula.
The vineyard spreads over 31 hectares made of sandy and gravelly soil. The average age of vineyard is 19 years.
After the mechanical harvest, followed by manual sorting of the grapes, the vinification is carried out in a traditional way using stainless steel thermostatically-controlled vats. Fermentation lasts at least 3 weeks. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
The wine has a beautiful red dress with a lot of highlights. The nose is discreet with notes of wood. On the palate, this wine is dense and well structured.Patience rigor to this very promising vintage.
Served at room temperature Château Saint Ahon accompanies a good red and white meats and cheeses.
