Château La Castillonne is located in the commune of Saint-Ferme. Geographically that vast area which on a map looks roughly triangular-shaped is limited by the Dordogne to the north, by the Garonne to the south-west and by administrative boundary of the Gironde department to the south-east.
The average surface of the Château La Castillonne’s vineyard dedicated to red wine is 28 ha. It is made up of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Besides, the vineyard management is traditional.
Château La Castillonne has a beautiful burlat cherry colour. The nose reveals a spices and cinnamon bouquet. On the palate Château La Castillonneiscomplex, gourmet and generous.
Best served between 16° and 18°C, it will fit perfectly with grilled red meats, white meats and also mild cheeses. Should be kept in a cellar at least for 2 years.
