Located in Saint-André de Cubzac, Château Jacquet was an important stop on the way to Compostela, hence its name. The pilgrims who stopped off crossed the Dordogne via Cubzac’s ford, or chose to continue their path along the right bank to Libourne.

Château Jacquet covers 31 hectares. Planted on a clay and limestone and siliceous-clay soils, the vines are including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Their average age is 25 years. The harvest is mechanical, and the grapes are staying 1 month in vats.

Served at room temperature, Château Jacquet will go perfectly well with delicatessen, poultry, game, cheese or chocolate desserts.
