2016 Chateau De Sales Pomerol Bordeaux

Another very good buy from Pomerol in 2016!

Tasting notes: 89-91 Points Offers soft, pure, unadorned plum and raspberry fruit, with a lightly chalky minerality. Fleshes out nicely as it airs in the glass. Tasted non-blind.

Château de Sales is the largest wine estate in the Pomerol appellation in France, with a total surface area of 90 hectares. The winery is centered around a 17th century château, with a tasting room and picturesque bamboo gardens. It is named for François Sauvanelle, “Lord of Sales,” who constructed it with his son Jean.
