Tasting notes: Ruby red, clear and bright. It has a pinot nose with hints of violets and spice that makes it very pleasant. Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Noir. Location: 3.11 miles north of the village of Sury en Vaux, in the Sancerre region, 125 miles south of Paris. Food pairing: Often used as the wine throughout a meal, it is amazing with white meats and goat cheese. Jérôme & Frédérique Gueneau created the Domaine des Grandes Perrières in 1993. From very small beginnings, the gradually grew to meet a growing demand. It is now a little bit more than 10 ha (24 acres). The quality of the wine is recognized by many restaurants and it is served at the table of the French prime minister.
