Description
This is the most flavorful and aromatic almond paste you can use. This is a raw product, so it needs to be used in cooked applications.
Almond paste has twice the amount of almonds in it compared to marzipan, making it coarser in texture and less sweet than its counterpart. Their consistency also differs as marzipan is smooth and pliable, almost clay-like, while almond paste is somewhat gritty and spreadable, almost like cookie dough.
With much less sugar than other types of almond paste (typically used for marzipan), you can use this 50% almond paste for any baking recipe, especially for filling pastries, chocolates, cookies, and more.
