Description
Our Santons are small ceramic figurines called Feves, the French word for Broad Bean (as the dried variety of this was the original feve). They are traditionally baked inside a frangipane pie (Gallette des Rois), traditionally eaten on the Epiphany, January 6th, the day which celebrates the arrival of the 3 kings to the birthplace of Jesus. The person who receives the feve in their portion is ‘Queen’ or ’King' for the day and gets to wear a crown.
