Description
This Fleur de Sel (Flower of the Salt) hails from the salt marshes of Guerande, on the south coast of Brittany. Its snowy white crystals are highly prized by chefs; some say it has a faint taste of violet. It is harvested in the traditional manner (by hand, with a rake, in the late afternoon, when the weather conditions are just right) and contains no additives. Fleur de sel is is naturally white and isn't crushed or washed, keeping its incomparable flavor.
