Sale price$ 18.95 USD

Description

Originally from Poitou Charentes, smaller than a Chabichou but bigger than a Crottin with that classic goaty tang, the Bonde is moulded and returned to moulds formerly known as Faisselles. These moulds give them the shape of a Bonde (a little piece of wood used in cooperage). The textures are fine and creamy, with soft caprine flavours.

Serving Suggestions: Ideal on a cheese board, in summer salads with walnuts or pears, or drizzled with truffle honey

The story begins in 1906, near the village of Bougon in Deux-Sèvres, where goat breeders gathered to create the Bougon dairy.

In 2016, the family cheese dairy Poitou Chèvre renovated the Bougon dairy and established its own cheese factory, where it developed traditional regional cheese production.

Today, the company employs around sixty people and works with around thirty local producers located within a radius of approximately 50 km. A local company committed to the sustainable development of its region.
